sounds like a lot of protection is missing.Limitations in Kaspersky 2017 on Windows 10
Limitations in Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 after upgrade to Windows 10
You're right, they was Cruel Sister samples. Yes i think there won't be problems with ransomware in general, just curiosity because i have never tested malware like those in my vm@shmu26: how did You setup stealth ports in FireWall? which changed did You make? I think stealth posts are not available in Kaspersky FireWall for long time, KL does not think is it necessary since They are already closed/blocked.
@Fede90: I have no way to check it, because I don't have Cruel Sister samples... anyway in this video the sample that bypassed I guess it was digitally signed, and since by default Kaspersky trusts in them, that sample could run with any restriction, just my guess...
What do you mean by "maybe it's because the update, and not from clean install?"I have to admit that I'm also a bit confused with that ... maybe it's because the update, and not from clean install, but not sure yet.
Probably Patch A will come and will unblock those limitation like last year with KIS2016 and W10... currently I have no info...
